Upcoming Events

October brings more pleasant weather, just in time for some Saturday Free Open Ranch Days.

  • Sat, March 12: Breeding and birthing is the focus. I'll be spit-testing some females and discussing how to set-up a birthing 1st aid kit.
  • Sat, March 26: The focus is on halter training crias and teaching them to walk on a lead.
  • Sun April 17: Shearing Day: Joshua Logan is my professional shearer. We use a grooming blower prior to shearing to remove dirt and debris. However, show fleeces are left unblown. Blanket fleeces is bagged separately from leg & neck fiber. This minimizes work required to skirt fleeces.
If you would like to bring your alpacas and llamas for shearing, please contact me with the number of animals. Cost to the shearer is $28 per animal.
  • These are family friendly events, so bring the kids. It's also a great opportunity to check out my herdsire row. Get directions to the ranch >>

New Cria Babies

Christmas broght 2 alpaca females, Nutmeg and Ginger (I was baking cookies that week). And on Valentine's Day, another appaloosa female llama arrived.
