Pet Alpacas and Llamas

Fiber, pet quality alpacas offer an affordable way for handspinners and textile artists to have their own resource of luxurious alpaca fiber for many years to come. Typically, these animals are not used in a breeding program for any of a wide variety of reasons, but they still offer outstanding alpaca fiber, pleasing personalities, and a fun animal for animal lovers young and old.

If you have wanted to start an alpaca ranch, but have only a limited budget, then fiber animals can be a great value for you. You can go up the learning curve of alpaca ranching with a much less intensive start-up investment and less financial risk. You can harvest their fiber and start learning how to create and market luxurious alpaca yarn and products from your very own animals.

Tropicana's Patrick

Born on St. Patrick's Day

Name: Tropicana's Patrick
Height: 40 inches, 3rd generation miniature
DOB: 3/17/05
COLOR: Red & White
SIRE: Startime Rythum ILR-204439 AMLA 35.5 in.
DAM: Stage Stop Tropicana - AMLA# 0189 ILA#208168 37.5 in.

This handsome male was Born on St. Patrick's Day. Patrick is a very typey boy with a winning personality and loves to give kisses. Alas, I have more males than I can use and need to make room in the over-crowded male's pasture. His fleece sports a luxrious silkiness that would please any handspinner.
Patrick is a classy little male and already proving his show ring potential. At 6 months age, he won Reserve Champion Med Wool Male at the 2005 Oklahoma State Fair.

Patrick would be a great 4H animal for a young person. He's easy to handle and halter-trained.
